Re: Profound website upgrade, Healthcare Associated Infections!
Dear Mr. Palacios,
Please allow me to
once again thank you and all of the staff at the California Department of
Public Health for all that you do for the wellbeing of all of here in
California, I really appreciate it.
The new California
Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) web site for the prevention of HAI is most
profound and will have, in my opinion, an impact in the prevention of HAI
throughout the world.
The concept of the “educated
patient” is clearly addressed in the “me and my family” section, the Chief
Nurse at our local community hospital asked my wife and I to participate in a “Patient
Partnership Program”, loosely based on a program put on by the American
Hospital Association, the patient safety program at the same facility is both
dynamic and progressive and the statistics, all thing considered, puts them as
a top preforming facility in the country but family involvement eluded me, the
following video changed my whole outlook:
Your work and focus at the CDPH HAI program is cutting edge, tangible, patient and family centric and conforms to the need of the Affordable Care Act, most impressive.
Patient safety world-wide is one step closer to preventing
HAI and In the case of my advocacy for the Prevention of HAI in our Veteran’s Hospitals,
it would be hard to believe the efforts at the CDPH has not already had a large
impact, once again, “thank you”, your website has truly set the standard for
patient safety and healthcare efficiency.
Sincerely,
Michael H. Slavinski
